The theory units within the Master of Electronic Art program are thematically focused. Leading from the mediated body which looks historically at the development of the media artist. The second semester unit Spatiality and Interaction explores mediated space and questions the environments that define the media artist. The third unit Representation and Presentation examines the role of the gallery space in relations to the representation and installation of the media art is experienced. Master of Electronic Arts do not simply present technical challenges. The course creates a range of new conceptual, linguistic and philosophical problems requiring solutions that draw upon the expertise and experience of educators, media practitioners, creative artists, visual thinkers, hardware and software engineers, architects and mathematicians. Electronic Arts have the potential to build bridges across diverse areas of study to create new areas of research towards real world outcomes. Course Overview
