Performance Space’s Residency Program invites independent artists,
artistic teams and companies to submit proposals for 2008. The Residency
Program uses in-house resources to support research and creative
development for Australian and international teams of artists. This
program has a strong history of supporting artists and groups to realise
the potential of new ideas and forms.

RUN_WAY is a program designed to extend and enliven people’s experience
and understanding of interdisciplinary arts and new artistic practice. The
initiative is for young and emerging artists and artsworkers 30 years of
age and under. RUN_WAY provides opportunities for young and emerging
artists and artsworkers to travel, learn and develop new skills and
understanding of interdisciplinary arts and new artistic practice.
Applicants can determine and implement a unique professional development
scenario, suitable to your own individual needs.

Metaphonica installation at BEAP

RAW VIDEO ART CALL FOR ENTRIES

RAW is an international Video Art series located in Brooklyn, NY, which was successfully launched on August 12th, 2007 at Monkeytown in Williamsburg. This ongoing series will feature work from the best international & domestic video artists in all genres, forms, and styles. RAW is the first Video Art event to incorporate fine dining. Each screening features guest chefs who specialize in raw, vegan cuisine. Submissions are sought from video artists working in any genre, there is no entry fee, but works must be under 20 minutes long. For more information visit the website. Deadline is ongoing.

DIGITAL FRINGE CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS

Do you have some digital art that you want seen? Digital Fringe is seeking submissions of digital visual material to broadcast over the Internet as a part of the The Age 2007 Melbourne Fringe Festival: September 26 to October 14. The call is for digital art works to display on all screens. These may be stills, animations, video art, short film, abstract pieces, audio, …whatever! This material will make up part of the general stream which will play on all screens throughout the festival and can be accessed online. Artists will retain the copyright of all works under the Creative Commons licensing scheme. Digital Fringe is an open access web based digital arts festival that runs in conjunction with The Age 2007 Melbourne Fringe Festival. Connecting to Melbourne and further afield through numerous screens, from the monster screen at Federation Square to a host of other screens around town, Digital Fringe will pop up in the most unlikely places.
