Paint & Light, 4th day, 2nd edition

Posted in Electronic Art 3rd year on October 28th, 2006

Paint and Light - Traditional and contemporary definitions of Light and of Paint are understood as separate substances. That is, we understand and discuss each element (light/paint) separately. But are they. The material behind each material is the same. That is what has come out of the thinking of the modern era. At some level all is the same. At another all is different. Paint & Light, Day 2 - space number 2

Posted in Electronic Art 3rd year on October 26th, 2006

Another full day in the space yesterday, tweeking. Different areas of the space have been resolved this time round. Resolved - by what measure? Through the language of painting is one measure of resolution. For me personally I have found a means of “photoshopping light, paint and space” without photoshop as a means of resolving “image”. Photoshop provides various means of manipulating the image. This space and painting have provided a means for the same outcome. The first image is of the space itself, the others work with the layers within the space and yes the soaces in-between the layers. Something tdoes not exist within photoshop.

Paint & Light, New Day - New Painting

Posted in Electronic Art 3rd year on October 24th, 2006

Sunday, it was a little hot, a little humid, and more than a little paint found its way to the floor. Yesterday we repainted. An exciting and once again interesting experience to walk back into the space as painters and lighters again. Results were rewarding. All thanks to the fall of some paint. Hiring the SLR Canon EOS 20D was a good move. Todays images are taken with the “reflected” virual space in mind.
