Paul Sermon

Rainbow Project

This is an ongoing Masters piece (not masterpiece) that I’m working on. It basically is the creation of a biomediated space that is directly responsive to the conditions of each individual viewer’s own body. As in nature heat, moisture and atmospheric pressure all combine, under the right conditions, to produce a 3d rainbow image. Originally I thought I could do this with enough projectors, electrodes suctioned on the body (think sports institutes) and thick air (not very likely)….

Mediated Justice- Not So Blind

Mediated Justice DiagramThis is a work I would make if I had the time… Maybe I will make it soon. It is basically concerned with the impact the media has on ethically ambiguous situations and the relation this has to Foucault’s notion of Panoptics. This is a construction of how it will look in a gallery situation.
